The Medical Research Center of Indonesia (MRCI) is open to anyone passionate about medical research, community service, and scientific collaboration. As a non-profit research community, MRCI does not charge any fees for participation. Instead, we provide a collaborative platform where researchers, academicians, students, and professionals can grow together, contribute to impactful research, and expand their academic and scientific careers.
MRCI offers three membership opportunities based on experience and level of involvement:
1. Volunteer (Open to undergraduate & postgraduate students from any background)
💡 Who Can Join?
Anyone pursuing an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD degree from any field who is interested in research, community service, or MRCI activities.
🔍 Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist in research projects, community service programs, and MRCI events under the guidance of MRCI supervisors.
- Support data collection, literature reviews, technical tasks, event organization, or other research-related activities.
- Participate in research or public health projects based on expertise and interest.

- Guidance and mentorship in research, community service, or scientific activities.
- Networking opportunities with experienced researchers and professionals.
- Potential co-authorship in research projects (depending on contribution).
- Flexible involvement—volunteer duration lasts until the project is completed or based on mutual agreement.
2. Guest Member / Guest Researcher (Open to graduates from any field with an interest in research or public health activities)
💡 Who Can Join?
Graduates from any field interested in participating in research, community service, or other MRCI programs.
🔍 Role & Responsibilities:
- Guest Members: Participate in community service, outreach programs, or other non-research-based activities in collaboration with MRCI’s Program PIC.
- Guest Researchers: Engage in research-based activities, working closely with MRCI experts to conduct studies and generate meaningful publications.
🎁 Benefits:
- Free access to MRCI’s seminars, workshops, and training modules.
- Collaboration opportunities with researchers and professionals in various disciplines.
- Research mentorship and consultation to strengthen academic and scientific contributions.
- Full support in the research publication process, including finding the best corresponding author to help reduce research costs or even waive publication fees (APC).
Minimum one-year commitment (renewable annually).
3. Distinguished Member (For professionals, master’s, and PhD graduates eager to lead research and academic development)
💡 Who Can Join?
Graduates with a master’s or PhD (preferred) from any discipline who are committed to conducting impactful research, leading academic collaborations, and contributing to MRCI’s scientific mission.
🔍 Role & Responsibilities:
- Join the Expert Team in one of MRCI’s research departments based on expertise.
- Lead or actively participate in research projects, policy recommendations, and community programs.
- Act as a Member, Principal Investigator (PIC) or Co-Researcher in MRCI-led studies.
